Bayezid ‘s cats

These are some cat pictures I took in Istanbul for an article in Terra Magazin this spring. Just like dogs in Bucharest, vagabond cats seem to pour into the streets of the city day and night. Well known by Romanians, Sultan Bayezid’s name is almost a synonym for the Ottoman Empire he ruled in the 14th century.
